Feeding the Hungry (Operation Feed the Poor)
Hunger is something many children and families experience in the USA and worldwide. For millions of kids and families globally, hunger is a challenge caused by having very few meals each day, sometimes just two, for weeks or even months. Sometimes, these meals lack the needed nutrients for growth. That’s why many kids in rural areas are malnourished. Some families can’t afford meat, so they don’t get any. For them, meat might only be eaten once a year during Christmas. They might share one chicken among the whole family, making it a special occasion. These children eagerly await Christmas for just a piece of chicken.
Helping the hungry brings quick results. There’s not enough food in many villages in Africa and the USA. Since the Joseph Ihedigbo Charity Foundation started, we’ve been giving food every month to families and seniors in need across our communities. With our African volunteers’ support, we buy food and give it to these families. We need your support to keep this going because it saves lives and it’s the right thing to do. This program’s success is vital for us. Sending children to school without food won’t help them learn well. That’s why this program is so important to our mission.
